Book Review – Immanuel’s Veins by Ted Dekker

Immanuel's VeinsImmanuel’s Veins by Ted Dekker
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book is a little different for Ted Dekker. He ventures into historical fantasy. I loved the setting of 18th Century Russia. This is a story of love, adventure of evil. It draws deeply from mythology, but even more deeply from Christian theology. This is more than a story about romantic love, although that is at the very heard of this story, but also of the love of God, a love which sheds blood to save the lost. As we often see in Ted Dekker novels, the one is a beautiful picture of the other.
